Research/Scholarly Experience

My scholarly experiences closely mirror my clinical experiences. While in graduate school I started to become interested in how individuals go through many types of stressors (from daily to chronic) and finding ways to help them manage these experiences. In addition, I studied the unique cultural factors and experiences that many international student and BIPOC communities go through especially the Asian/Asian American population. These included topics such as acculturative stress, racism-related stress, and intergenerational cultural conflict. I have continued to engage in scholarly work and recently also conducted studies with colleagues (see below). I currently also serve as an Editorial Board member for the journal, The Counseling Psychologist.
