Individual Psychotherapy
Seeking therapy can be a daunting and exciting experience. It can be scary to think of talking about personal experiences that you are struggling with and be energizing to think about getting support to get through issues with a professional. I always think back to the time when I learned about what therapy meant and continue to marvel at the power of two people (therapist and client) joining hearts and efforts to help the client truly start to understand their deeper selves, cultivate who they want to be, and learn ways to manage life challenges. I applaud you for seeking this service and welcome you to work with me together to co-create a safe space where we can help you achieve your therapeutic goals.

There are various modes of therapy (individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, couples counseling). Many seek individual therapy to focus and work on their individual concerns. I currently offer individual therapy sessions for 45-50 minutes weekly or bi-weekly (once in 2 weeks) via telehealth or in-person (*Please note that I only work in the evenings and have in-person spots on Tuesday evenings). At times if agreed upon together we may be able to meet less often then the above but I have found the above frequency to be most helpful to my clients. Please see My Clinical Approach section for more information about my therapeutic style.

I currently charge $250 for both the intake (assessments conducted in the beginning to get to know your story) and regular follow-up sessions. I usually have a few spots for clients who pay out-of-pocket and a few spots for clients who take insurance (i.e., Aetna) and this is subject to change over time. I am currently taking clients who pay out-of-pocket at this time. In order to see if we are a good fit I also offer a free 15-20 minute consultation in the beginning (please send me an email or give me a call/voicemail) to set this up. Please note that I have a 24hr cancellation policy and a no-show fee (full session fee or set fee through Headway, a platform I use for clients who have Aetna).

Method of Payment: Credit Card payment through a HIPAA compliant platform is accepted at this time.

*Under the No Surprises Act I am also required to provide a Good Faith Estimate Notice:
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
